Dr. Johanna Wolfson highlighted how the TechBridge model helps accelerate the commercialization of innovative, sustainable energy technologies.

Fraunhofer CSE’s Dr. Johanna Wolfson was a featured panelist at Solar Energy Tech & Innovation in Mexico, a day-long conference in Mexico City. The goal of the workshop was to bring together representatives from government and industry in Massachusetts and Mexico, evaluate the potential of solar PV in the context of recent Mexican energy reforms, and identify pathways to market for emerging technologies.


Dr. Wolfson was joined by other experts in the technology and innovation industry at the SolarMX Conference.

Dr. Wolfson participated in the Accelerating Innovation Cycles in Renewable Energy panel, where she introduced the Fraunhofer TechBridge model and discussed its viability in Latin American Markets. Dr. Wolfson highlighted recent TechBridge success stories to show how the model is used across many technology applications throughout the energy industry. Audience members were especially interested in how the TechBridge Program leverages the Fraunhofer network, and how it can be adapted to fit a diverse set of needs.

Leveraging the extensive resources of Fraunhofer CSE and the global Fraunhofer network (including the Fraunhofer Energy Alliance), TechBridge performs customized technical validation work informed directly by industry, paving the way for groundbreaking energy startups to attract funding and partnerships.
