Representatives from industry, state, and non-profit clean energy organizations gathered at the TechBridge Innovation Showcase at Fraunhofer CSE’s office on December 6, 2016 for an event that highlighted awardees of TechBridge—a program by Fraunhofer CSE to identify and de-risk innovative energy technologies. The event provided a platform to engage with the leaders in innovation and gain insight into Fraunhofer CSE’s work in the energy space.
Eight of seventeen clean energy startups that have been supported by Fraunhofer testing and validation services since 2010 presented their technologies and shared their experiences at the event: Thermoaura, XTRLs International, Tessolar, FirstFuel Software, N12 Technologies, Sistine Solar, WegoWise and Ecova (formerly Retroficiency).
Laila Partridge, CEO at WegoWise; Domenic Armano, VP of Customer Success at FirstFuel Software; and Ryan Williams, Senior Scientist at N12 Technologies, shared their startup’s journey and provided insight into their experiences with the TechBridge program in a short speaking program, as did recent TechBridge Challenge sponsors and TechBridge program funding partners. Steve Pike, CEO of Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC); Tilak Subrahmanian, VP of Energy Efficiency at Eversource; and Pieter Wolters, Managing Director of DSM Venturing and VP of DSM—sponsor of the TechBridge SunRISE Challenge—represented the sponsors’ and funding partners’ perspective on the TechBridge program and its impact on the clean energy and innovation community.
