Last week our Cambridge offices had the pleasure of hosting a delegation of analysts from PHOTON Consulting, a leading consulting and market research firm serving the solar sector. PHOTON’s cross-disciplinary team examines all aspects of the solar market, and includes PhDs and MBAs as well as experienced energy analysts and former executives.
During their visit, the analysts had an opportunity to get an up-close look at CSE’s PV Module Innovation Laboratory, learning more about the Center’s durability and energy output testing equipment. Centerpiece of the tour was an extended briefing on Fraunhofer CSE’s research and development capabilities from the Center’s senior technical staff, led by PV Technologies Director Geoffrey Kinsey. The briefing also touched on major CSE solar initiatives like the Photovoltaic Durability Initiative, a joint venture with Germany’s Fraunhofer ISE that builds out existing solar testing protocols to better reflect the stresses that solar modules face over longer periods of operation.
