Mass Clean Energy Center Visits Fraunhofer CSE

Our friends at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center came to visit on Friday, January 20, to tour our labs and hear about our clean energy R&D and initiatives.

MassCEC is the Commonwealth’s agency for clean energy sector development and implementation: fostering clean energy technology development and adoption, growing the clean energy workforce, and educating the public on clean energy issues.

At Fraunhofer CSE, we work closely with MassCEC in several key areas: they are our partner in early-stage clean energy company support efforts through U-Launch, and we are currently planning workforce development initiatives that tie into our new facility (currently under construction), with advice from MassCEC. MassCEC was instrumental in helping us to locate in Massachusetts.

  1. Also, everyone should check out the Commonwealth’s clean energy year in review, here: http://energy.blog.state.ma.us/blog/2012/01/2011-a-year-in-review.html

They’ve made a really neat presentation that shows MA’s accomplishments in clean energy technology adoption and job creation–and the style is very engaging, with interesting graphics.
